Hello there!
I've travelled a fair bit in my life, having enjoyed many parts of Canada, Mexico, Europe, East Africa, Central America.... I can't wait to keep adding to that list!
Before I started teaching, I was working as a professional chef for about 12 years. I love cooking, learning about food, and trying every dish I can.
In my free time, I enjoy reading, hiking, cooking, going to the theatre, gardening, and chatting. Two of my favourite experiences have been sky diving, and seeing Victoria Falls in Zimbabwe... what are yours?Me as a Teacher
I am an outgoing and enthusiastic tutor who has a TEFL (Teaching English as a Foreign Language) certificate. I have been teaching English as a second language since 2015, and I have been teaching literacy since 2020. I have worked with students of all ages and backgrounds.
In addition to being a native English speaker, I am in the process of learning French (and in the past I have studied German and Spanish). I understand the challenges and rewards that come with learning another language, as well as the importance of communication and clarity of speech.My lessons & teaching style
