Hi, I'm Dongni!
Like most people, I've spent my life searching for path and exploring different possibilities. As a girl born and raised in Shenzhen, China, I never wanted to limit my world to just one city or country. I've always craved to see more of the world, to meet diverse people, and to experience cultures deeply.
As a Chinese, I deeply believe in "yuánfèn" (缘分)—the idea that every meaningful connection in life is destined. Among billions of people in this world, the fact that you are here on this path to learn Chinese feels truly special to me.

So far, I’ve had three classes with Dongni, and I've really enjoyed my time learning with her! From our first meeting, she took the time to understand what my Chinese goals were, and proceeded to walk me through different learning methods to see what style best suited my needs. Despite my Chinese being very rusty, she has been very patient and helpful. Dongni has a balanced approach between giving me space to work through a problem on my own and stepping in to explain something more thoroughly when I'm stuck. I also like the materials she uses in class such as the HSK textbook and mandarinbean.com - I have been studying Chinese for some time, but I’ve never been exposed to mandarinbean.com, it’s so useful. You can turn on and off the pinyin and hover over a word to see the English translation if need be - it's such a great resource! I highly recommend booking a lesson with Dongni, you will not be disappointed. 谢谢老师，我们继续学习中文吧! :)
