Hi! My name is Yena. I was born and raised in South Korea, so I'm a native Korean speaker. I studied Social Welfare in university and completed a Master’s degree in Psychology. I really enjoy meeting people and having good conversations—it’s one of the reasons I love teaching. Also, I love connecting with people through language. Since I’m also learning English, I understand how challenging it can be to learn a second language. With me, you won’t just memorize grammar or vocabulary—you’ll learn how to speak naturally and confidently like a real Korean!Me as a Teacher
I have one year of experience teaching Korean to international staff at a foreign NGO. So I learned how to explain Korean in a way that’s clear, simple, and respectful of each learner’s pace. Many students told me that I was patient and good at explaining things in a way they could really understand. My lessons & teaching style
My lessons are relaxed and conversation-based. I customize each class depending on your level and goals. I focus on teaching real, everyday Korean expressions that native speakers actually use. Thank you for a good class 예나쌤! We talked about a chosen topic and I felt like I was able to talk a lot. I learned a lot of new words and enjoyed our conversation. The teacher is so easy to talk to so the class is comfortable.

Today I met Yena 선생님 for the first time and we had a fun conversation about various experiences of mine. She provided feedback right away to correct my mistakes so I could review it later and asked me a lot of questions to keep the conversation flowing easily. She spoke slowly and helped me when I got stuck. It was a comfortable and helpful lesson :) Thank you 예나선생님!
