Hi! I'm Chiara, an Italian teacher with a secret: I combine philosophical precision with the joy of spontaneous conversation! My master's degree in Philosophy taught me to deconstruct languages to get to their core, while years of studying English, Spanish, and German have given me first-hand experience of the challenges (and rewards!) of learning. I currently teach 15 students of all levels, helping them transform insecurity into fluency with tailor-made lessons. My superpower? Creating authentic connections: for me, every student is a story to be discovered, not an exercise to be corrected.Me as a Teacher
My approach is friendly, flexible and personalized. I believe that conversation is the best method of learning a new language. My lessons will help you learn through pictures and authentic materials, with speaking activities that will also allow you to learn and reinforce grammar and improve your accent. In addition, I will take care to monitor your progress and suggest strategies to study independently as well.My lessons & teaching style
When I'm teaching beginners, I start with a general presentation of Italian morphological structure, and then focus the lessons on guided speaking activities accompanied by simple, focused exercises to build confidence and accuracy. You'll pick up grammar as you go along.
We'll be using thematic conversations and role-plays to help intermediate and advanced students to build up their grammar, as well as their accent, fluency and expressive mastery.My teaching material
