My name is Barsha Basnet. I am from Nepal, a country known for its natural beauty, warm hospitality, and rich cultural traditions. I was born and raised here, and I carry a deep love and respect for the language, history, and values of my homeland. That’s why teaching Nepali is not just a job for me, it’s a passion and a way to share a part of who I am with the world. Academically, I hold a Bachelor’s degree in Education and Chemistry, which gave me a strong foundation in teaching and communication. More recently, I completed my MBA from the School of Management, Tribhuvan University , which has helped me grow not only as an educator but also as a professional. I’ve been teaching Nepali professionally since 2014. Over the years, I’ve had the wonderful opportunity to work with students from more than 50 different countries, each one bringing their own story, culture, and curiosity. I used to tutor to middle school and high school students when I was in Nepal. I started off teaching Nepali in person, mostly working with travelers, expats, and anyone interested in learning the language here in Nepal. However, after the pandemic hit in 2019, I transitioned to online teaching, and it turned out to be a blessing in disguise. Barsha is a great, calm, and patient teacher. What I like most about her is that she's such a great listener. For me, it's really important that a teacher listens to me, helps me right away when I need it, and also participates in casual conversations. I love that she tailors her lessons to my individual needs and makes them structured around my goals and preferences. She also shares interesting facts about Nepalese culture and traditions, which are a really important part of the language-learning journey. I would definitely recommend her to anyone who wants to learn Nepali. <3
