Hello, I’m Kelly. As a former broadcaster for NHK and other major Japanese networks, I have years of experience reporting, writing, and speaking professionally on camera. I have undergone rigorous training in vocal techniques, including precise pronunciation, pitch accent, intonation, and the "art of the pause." Whether you are preparing for a presentation or simply want to sound more sophisticated and natural, I can help you refine your expression and delivery. Me as a Teacher

I am a certified Japanese language teacher with experience supporting children of international backgrounds in Japan. Additionally, I am a qualified Mental Health Social Worker. This background allows me to not only focus on the language but also provide emotional support and create a safe, judgment-free space for your learning. If you have any concerns or anxieties, you can always talk to me.

My lessons & teaching style

To help you develop a "Japanese brain," my lessons are conducted 95% in Japanese (with 5% simple English for clarification). Every lesson is customized to your specific goals and learning style. What I offer: ☆Specialized Training: Focus on pronunciation, pitch accent, and intonation. ☆Zero-Prep Basics: For N5/N4 and natural daily conversation, I provide all the materials. You can show up empty-handed! ☆Progress Tracking: After every session, I share a personalized "Lesson Note" with feedback and key points. ☆Optional Homework: I can provide preview or review assignments upon request.
