Professional and academic experience in linguistics and tutoring Hola! I’m Àlex, a linguist and Catalan tutor with years of experience helping beginners and more advanced learners thrive. Currently finishing my master’s in applied linguistics, I blend academic expertise with real-world teaching, whether you’re starting from scratch or polishing fluency. Based in China but globally connected, I love making Catalan accessible and fun through culture, travel, and tailored lessons. Let’s explore this amazing language together — comencem! I’m a firm believer that every student has a unique set of skills and their own ideal learning rhythm. My focus is on adapting my methods to fit you, ensuring we get the very most out of every session. I pride myself on fostering a relaxed and welcoming space where your curiosity and confidence can grow, sparking a genuine interest not just in the language itself, but in the vibrant culture behind it. I always like to begin our journey by creating together a roadmap to help you clearly understand and achieve your language goals. Your needs, interests, and natural pace always come first. My lessons blend clear, foundational explanations with real-life examples, lively discussions, and practical exercises, all topped with targeted feedback. Plus, I’m passionate about helping you learn beyond our sessions, through film, literature, or social media, so you can truly see how the language lives and breathes in different contexts.
