Mearg Belay

Today's wonderful lesson with Mearg was focused on Adverbs, with an introduction to the ending forms of the Imperative, with many new words in Tigrinya. The Polite form of verbs was discussed, as a reflection of cultural aspects when addressing older prople or senior officials, respectfully. Merry Christnas and ርሑስ ሓዱሽ ዓመት (Happy New Year) to everybody in the Italki community !!!

I really enjoy our lessons with Mearg! He structures the lessons well and prepares a lesson beforehand. He’s very helpful with the explanations of grammar concepts and pronunciations tips. I highly recommend considering Mearg your Amarinya teacher!

Just had another comprehensive lesson with Mearg, in which we discussed some of the majestic aspects of Tigrigna, with its' deep roots in Holy Scriptures, along with gradually strengthening my ability to form basic sentences, in the context of learning the beautiful grammar.  Betaami Yeqenyeley 🙏🙏🙏 (Thank you so much !!!)

This year, when my wife asked me what I would like to have as a birthday present, (perfume? nice shirt? etc.), my answer to her was: I really want to learn Tigrinya - find me a teacher !! Shortly afterwards, she registered me to Italki's Tigrinya lessons with Mearg Belay. In these fantastic video lessons, we've already covered a panoramic review of the alphabet, daily vocabulary, parts of speech and basic sentences. Undoubtedly - the best birthday gift I've ever received !!!

Mearg gives well prepared classes and offers different teaching materials. He discusses different aspects such as grammar, vocabulary and pronunciation and gives honest feedback.

Another wonderful lesson in which Mearg gave me both basic phrases, along with pronounciation aspects and some advanced sentence structures. I'm waiting for my children to come back from school and we'll practice together this amazing Tigrigna vocabulary. THANK YOU !!!!!!
