I am a proud Swahili speaker with a passion for teaching both the language and the culture behind it. I grew up in East Africa, where Swahili is not just a means of communication but also a connection to history, art, and everyday life. I enjoy sharing stories, traditions, and insights that make the language come alive for my students. Over the years, I have taught learners from different backgrounds, helping them unlock the beauty and practicality of Swahili. I am passionate about making language learning an achievable goal for everyone, no matter their starting level.

My lessons & teaching style

Every student is unique, so I tailor each lesson to your specific goals, whether that’s passing an exam, improving conversational skills, or mastering professional Swahili for work. Before we start, I assess your level and learning preferences. Then, I create a lesson plan with clear milestones and regular progress checks. I use encouraging feedback and clear explanations to help you overcome difficulties quickly. We will celebrate your progress every step of the way, and I’ll adapt the content to keep lessons enjoyable and relevant to your interests. By the end of our sessions, you will not only know Swahili but you’ll also feel confident using it in everyday situations.
