Ciao a tutti! Hi everyone! I’m Manfred. Born and raised in Sicily, I’m a native Italian and Sicilian speaker. I spent six wonderful years in Turin, which gave me a neutral Italian accent.
I’ve had the pleasure of teaching the basics of Italian to a group of English native speakers, starting from scratch. I absolutely love traveling, meeting new people, learning new languages, and immersing myself in local cultures and traditions.
My main passion is football, but I’m also excited to share interests in music, photography, astronomy, engineering, physics, food, and sports in general. Let’s connect and explore our passions together!Me as a Teacher
Whether you’re starting from scratch or you’re an intermediate/advanced student, I can tailor our conversations to your level. For beginners, I’ll provide a guidebook and some exercises that we’ll review regularly. For intermediate/advanced students, we can focus on practicing and enhancing your speaking skills, while expanding your vocabulary.
I’ve been on the other side of the screen, so I understand what it means to learn a new language. Conversation is the biggest challenge when learning a new language, and without practice, grammar rules can feel sterile. The biggest progress happens when you step out of your comfort zone, so don’t be afraid to make mistakes, I’m here to help you!My lessons & teaching style
ENG – You can choose the topics, or we can decide them together based on your needs. We can review your CV, work on grammar, reading, or writing exercises. I’m also available for informal conversations.
Teacher’s Policy: No Italki credit refund will be offered if the student either doesn’t attend the class without notice or gives a non-attendance notice less than 24 hours before the class starts.

An excellent beginning. This was my first lession through italki. Through the course of the conversation, Manfred offered new vocabulary, he asked questions that required me to exercise the full extent of my Italian, he let me practice my listening skills, and he very kindly corrected my errors - more than I had hoped to accomplish in the first lesson.

As my main objective is practicing speaking, he led me through tle lesson asking questions and maintaining the conversations, correcting my mistakes when needed, giving tips and explanations.
