Hi!
My name is Mathilde. I am a native Danish speaker from the small town of Holstebro, Denmark. I currently live in Guatemala, where I am learning Spanish and teaching at a local school. I love travelling and have lived in Armenia, India, and the Czech Republic.
I have a bachelor’s degree from the Anglo-American University and I have been teaching for 5 years now. In my free time, I like to read, hike, and bake delicious pies. I am an enthusiastic foodie and love trying new dishes from around the world.Me as a Teacher
I have been teaching for five years — both Danish and English — around the world.
I have taught art to tiny kids in a kindergarten in Armenia; I have taught English to young women at an NGO in New Delhi, India; and I have taught Danish to children aged 6–16 in a public school in Mejrup, Denmark.
I am currently teaching Danish online to adults who wish to learn Danish and potentially move to Denmark. I mostly teach Danish to beginners, but I can also help with advanced grammar and pronunciation.
In addition, I am the founder of the feminist educational NGO Pangea Public in Prague, Czechia. There, I developed educational sessions and workshops each week as part of our educational program. My lessons & teaching style
My classes are fun and interactive — I love using games like Kahoot, Simon Says, and memory puzzles. I often bring in short films, fairy tales, and podcasts to keep things engaging. For me, it's important that my students enjoy learning and that we focus on topics that interest you, so you'll want to keep going and feel motivated.
We usually explore different themes — such as food, travel, nature, and hobbies — and practice comprehension, grammar, reading, and speaking while expanding your vocabulary. I'm always open to suggestions if you have ideas or want to focus on a specific topic.
The most important part of my teaching is meeting each student where they are.My teaching material

Teaching experience
2022 - 2023
TeacherI taught English daily to young women aged 18–25 as part of Naz Foundation’s educational program for individuals from economically disadvantaged backgrounds.
When I first started, we could barely communicate. By the time I left, we were having full conversations about topics like work, nature, and personal life.
2019 - 2020
TeacherI planned and taught daily lessons in Danish, English, history, and science to students aged 6–16 for one year. I was the head teacher for a third-grade class and was also responsible for organizing fun activities and events for younger children in the after-school program.
2017 - 2019
TeacherI taught art and English to young children aged 4–7 in a kindergarten in Dilijan, Armenia. I taught once a week for two years while attending the United World College. I planned my own lessons, focusing on play-based learning and fun, creative activities.
2022 - Current
Danish TeacherI have been teaching online on and off for several years. Currently, I teach several Ukrainian migrants who are learning Danish in preparation for moving to Denmark. We have weekly one-hour sessions focused on building basic Danish writing and conversational skills.
2022 - 2025
Founder & Executive DirectorAs the founder and director of Pangea Public, I was responsible for outreach, operations, growth, and innovation. I served as chairperson at our meetings, organized the monthly Sappho Salon, and co-organized events such as International Women’s Day Prague, the Prague Arts & Activist Festival 2023, and Prague Pride.
I also co-created Pangea’s educational platform and hosted weekly educational sessions and workshops on various historical and political topics.
