Native French speaker and teacher in training offering dynamic and diverse French lessons Hi! I'm Maryann, from Brittany, France, and I currently live in Normandy. I studied English, German, and Journalism at university. I worked for two years in a local newspaper while completing a university diploma in FLE. This spring, I completed the first year of my Master's degree in Teaching French as a Foreign Language. I’m passionate about languages and literature, travelling, and discovering different cultures. I also enjoy helping people discover the French language and culture. As a teacher, I’m patient, friendly, and adaptable. Being a language learner myself helps me understand the challenges students face. I always create a safe and encouraging atmosphere where you can feel comfortable and confident speaking French. Learning a new language should be fun, and making mistakes is a natural part of the process! My lessons are adapted to your level, needs, and goals. I focus on helping you communicate naturally and confidently, especially through speaking practice and real-life situations. Grammar is important, but I introduce it in a practical way to support communication. I also use authentic materials such as articles, podcasts, videos, and book extracts, but I also work with French textbooks like Édito when they are useful for your learning. Learning about French culture and traditions is also an important part of my method.

It was my first trial with Maryann. She seems very polite and understanding. I didn't need to explain much and she understood my needs quite easily. She appears to be flexible. I am also happy that she is doing her masters in teaching French as a foreign language as I am also studying French at university
