Hi, my name is Lani! I'm French American, so I am a native speaker of both English and French. Although I grew up in California, I moved around for most of my life as a military child, which has made me very comfortable talking to new people. As a current university student, I deeply understand the importance of being able to speak clearly and confidently. I'm really keen on conversation and genuinely enjoy connecting with people in my daily life.

My core goal as a teacher is to help you on your English journey. I focus on making you feel more confident and comfortable using the language. I'm here to help you express yourself clearly and fluently, and I'm excited to help you reach your personal language goals.

My lessons & teaching style

My lessons are designed to be low-stress, natural, and conversational. If you are looking to speak English more naturally, sound more like a native, and practice in a relaxed environment, these lessons are for you. We will focus on an "authentic chat" vibe, just talking back and forth. I want you to feel comfortable expressing yourself freely. We can chat about anything you're interested in: your hobbies, my hobbies, our lives, student life, or any other topic you choose. The main goal is to get you talking!

English TutorE-sitter - Tokyo, JapanI work as a part time English tutor for students ages 7-20 focusing on conversation and their respective English levels. I spend time with them and talk about their hobbies as well as advise them on their homework.

Other - English/General StudiesSHAPE American HighschoolI studied and passed all AP English classes in high school which are language and composition. I also passed AP French and finished with a 4.1 GPA.
