Learn Russian or English with a Siberian polyglot Hi! My name is Iurii. I’m a Siberian living in Almaty, Kazakhstan, and I’ve been teaching Russian for a little over four years. While I don’t have formal teaching credentials, languages have been a part of my life for as long as I can remember. I believe that anyone can learn any language if they connect it to something they already love – a hobby, passion, or interest. I try to avoid overwhelming my students as much as possible, and tailor every lesson to them. We read texts, watch synchronized videos, and break down grammar together, not by memorizing rules, but by discovering them naturally with my guidance. For advanced students, I offer deep conversations, analysis of tone and style, and even exercises written for native speakers. I work with learners of all levels, whether you need Russian for business, travel, or personal growth. If you speak Turkish, I can explain some concepts in Turkish for you as well. My lessons are shaped by you – your interests, your goals, your pace. If speaking is your goal, we’ll speak. If you want to read and understand texts, we’ll do just that. We use media from real life: literature, dialogues, videos, songs and exercises given to Russian speaking school students. I do ask that you keep a physical notebook for taking notes and exercises. Having a laptop or Android device is helpful for some tools I use, but it’s not required. Most important is your curiosity and consistency (and a notebook, please don't forget the notebook).
