Guten Tag! I am Bernd, a certified German teacher and native speaker from Leipzig—renowned as the 'Heldenstadt' (a title I’d be delighted to explain during our lessons). With over five years of experience in online instruction, including teaching for platforms like Babbel Live, I specialize in guiding students through German language acquisition, from foundational grammar to advanced business fluency. I have been teaching my mother tongue since 1999 in classroom settings and switched to online teaching in 2020. Since then, I have worked with many students from different countries and backgrounds.
My teaching style is friendly yet formal, as the goal is to make you confident in the language rather than simply find a buddy – even if good rapport often comes naturally. • We will move through the levels according to your needs, either by plan or spontaneously.
• We will regularly review earlier material, especially grammar.
• Special attention will be given to your pronunciation.
• We will practice the formal address (“Sie”), essential in daily and professional life.
• Whenever suitable, I will share insights about Germany and its people.
• Homework is possible but optional.
