I’m Aliona — a tutor of practical Czech for expats, travellers, and anyone building a life or connection with the Czech Republic. Like many of my students, I started from zero: born in Belarus, now living in Prague as an Art University student and Czech tutor. My goal is not only to teach you the language, but also to help you feel confident in real-life situations — whether it’s ordering coffee, passing residency exams, or navigating work and university applications. I work with beginners and intermediate students: expats, travellers, immigrants, and anyone planning to move to or already living in the Czech Republic. At the beginning of our lessons, I’ll ask about your learning style and goals. If you’re not sure what works best for you yet, we’ll combine grammar with lots of speaking practice, interactive activities, videos, and real-life materials — practice, practice, practice! And yes, we’ll make it enjoyable too. My native language is Russian, and I also speak Czech and English, so lessons can be held in English, Russian, or Ukrainian if that feels more comfortable for you. Our lessons will be relaxed, structured, and motivating. I’ll support you where you need it and challenge you when you’re ready. We’ll speak a lot, laugh sometimes, and make sure you feel real progress week by week.
