こんにちは～🐼I’m Mei 🐼 I decided to become a Japanese teacher after reading NARUTO in high school (ask me the rest in class!) I’m a huge anime and manga otaku and love both classics and new series. My lessons are for you if you: Want to talk about anime/manga in Japanese Feel nervous but want a teacher who speaks English Are a beginner wanting to start from hiragana Want grammar or pronunciation practice Want sentence corrections with clear explanations Or just want to chat in Japanese for fun! About me: From Kyoto, Studied in NZ & the US (5 years abroad). I’ve taught more than 350 students, both online and at a school. I'm cheerful, quirky, and love karaoke🎤,anime, and some American cartoons For three years, I taught at a Japanese language school accredited by the Ministry of Justice, where I managed four classes of about 20 students each. Since 2020, partly due to the pandemic, I have been teaching Japanese online. (I've had 2500＋ online lessons with 160 students in total!) With over 5 years of study-abroad experience and professional work using English, I can explain even subtle nuances and complex grammar points in English. I’ve taught complete beginners as well as learners from N5 to N1.
