Hi! My name is Amanda, and I’m an English teacher who is passionate about languages and connecting with people from different cultures. I speak Portuguese, English, and I also have some knowledge of other languages. I have a Bachelor’s degree in English Literature and an international certification for teaching English. I’ve been teaching for many years, and I truly enjoy helping students grow in confidence and achieve their goals. I’m a patient, friendly, and supportive teacher, and I always try to create a positive and welcoming environment in my classes.

Me as a Teacher

I am an experienced English teacher who has worked with students of different ages and levels, from beginners to intermediate learners. Over the years, I have developed a student-centered approach, focusing on each learner’s needs, goals, and learning pace. I believe that making mistakes is an essential part of learning, so I encourage my students to feel comfortable speaking and expressing themselves from the beginning. My goal is to help students become more confident and independent when using English in real-life situations.

My lessons are fun, dynamic, and focused on communication. I believe that learning English should be enjoyable, not stressful. From the very first lesson, I encourage students to speak English, even if it’s just a little, so they can leave class already feeling more confident. I use a mix of conversation, practical activities, and real-life situations to make learning effective and meaningful. My teaching style is flexible, and I always adapt my lessons to each student’s goals—whether for travel, work, or personal development. My focus is not only on understanding English, but on helping students actually use it with confidence.
