I worked as an English teacher at a private secondary school in South Korea for 15 years. Language teaching is both my calling and my profession. I know how to design engaging lessons, explain concepts clearly, and adapt my teaching to different learning styles and goals. As a native Korean, I bring a deep understanding of the culture, history, and context behind the language. Most of all, I love learning and connecting with people. My teaching philosophy is learner-centered. I value each learner’s needs, feelings, and goals. As a former language teacher, my teaching style is both organized and flexible. I provide appropriate assignments and feedback that help students apply the language functions they learn in class. We worked through the book I shared with her (News in Korean), focusing on vocabulary review and reading practice, and she helped ensure my pronunciation was on track.
