Before starting my teaching journey, I worked as a nurse for many years. Supporting people, listening with empathy, and making others feel comfortable have always been at the heart of what I do. I bring that same patient, caring approach into every single Japanese lesson. Who I Teach I specialize exclusively in teaching adult learners (beginners to lower-intermediate). My lessons are specifically designed for adults who: -Want to speak naturally with their Japanese family members, spouse, or in-laws. -love Japanese culture, history, or language and wish to learn thoroughly. -Appreciate a calm, respectful, and steady learning environment. -Value continuous, long-term progress over quick shortcuts. My Teaching Style & Lessons -Learning a new language as an adult takes time and courage. I aim to provide a safe, encouraging space where you can ask questions freely and learn without pressure. -Structured & Visual: I use clear visual slides and structured materials -Clear English Support: Whenever you feel stuck, I provide clear English explanations so you understand the "why" behind the grammar. A Little About Me Outside teaching, I love learning new languages and subjects, practicing yoga, spending time with animals, and traveling. I truly believe that consistent, quiet effort leads to wonderful results—“Practice makes perfect” is my daily motto! I look forward to meeting you in class!

She is a very good teacher. She understands English well, likely because of her time in Australia, which makes her explanations very clear and easy to follow. During the lesson, she prepared pictures and quizzes, and we were able to review them together in an engaging way. I would definitely like to continue to book lessons with her again, as she is an excellent fit for my needs as someone who needs help reviewing the basics.

This was for my 9-year-old boy. The communication between them was a bit abrupt and awkward. He tried hard but ended the lesson in tears and feeling discouraged. She was nice and was trying, but didn't have a sixth sense when it comes to kids. Or, maybe this is just a cultural difference in the teaching process?
