Hello, I’m YY Cheung. I live in Hong Kong, China. One of my friends tried Italki and said it was a great experience learning languages. I wish I can use this platform to help more learners to learn Chinese and English.

Me as a Teacher

I’ve been teaching English since 2013. In university, I did my BA in English with a minor in Translation, and I did MA in Applied Linguistics. I’ve also got my teacher certificates. Things I taught ranged from workplace English, conversational English, to general English, from personal tutorials to sizable organizations, from kids to adults, catering learners from beginning to advanced. I also know and teach Chinese mandarin and Cantonese.

My lessons & teaching style

If you want to learn professional English or Chinese, have a curriculum such as Certificate of Proficiency in Putonghua (PSC), IELTS, academic or workplace writing, presentations that you want to learn, I can do that with you. Even if you don’t have a specific thing that you want me to teach, we can talk about general topics such as travelling, sports, technology, feelings, cooking and many more. We can learn languages through interesting daily conversations too. Give us a chance, and learn “Ni Hao”, “Ni kuai le ma?” to “I prefer tea and coffee to fizzy drinks.” with me!
