Certified teacher with 20+ years of experience | Conversational Lessons with guidance & feedback Hi! I'm Ricardo. I've been a professional teacher for over 20 years, in language institutes, schools, and as a private tutor. I was only six when I had my first contact with a foreign language (English), and languages and linguistics have been a passion of mine for as long as I can remember. I love private lessons because they allow me to focus on each student's needs and goals. My students often mention how calm and patient I am, and I believe this creates a comfortable environment where you can speak, make mistakes, and build confidence. My lessons are highly conversational and focused on helping you express yourself clearly and naturally. But we don't just chat! As we talk, I pay attention to pronunciation, intonation, vocabulary, and grammar. I believe understanding the structures you use is essential for communicating with clarity and accuracy. I'm also a language learner myself, currently studying Swedish, Finnish, and Romanian. This keeps me connected to the challenges and rewards of acquiring a new language. Having experienced many of the same difficulties my students face, I know what it feels like to learn a foreign language. My goal is to create relaxed, engaging lessons where you can talk a lot, receive useful feedback, and gradually become a more confident English/Portuguese speaker. I'm looking forward to meeting you and being part of your learning journey!
