I’m a professional German teacher from Switzerland and I teach German and Swiss German as a second language full-time. I was born and raised in Switzerland and lived in Brazil for a couple of years. I hold a Bachelor’s degree in Pedagogy and speak English, Portuguese, French, and Spanish fluently.
I love working with people from all over the world and enjoy both the cultural exchange and accompanying them on their journey to achieving German fluency (:Me as a Teacher
I love all the funny moments that happen through language learning and the joy it can create, while also seeing the progress take shape. I’m patient and like to adapt the class to whatever the student(s) need at the moment, but I also enjoy working with structured material to ensure efficient learningMy lessons & teaching style
My lessons are fairly structured, as I believe it is very important to have a balance between speaking, building vocabulary, and understanding and using correct grammar.
From the very beginning, we speak in German. This might seem challenging or even intimidating at first, but I know how to adapt my language so you don’t get lost and can start speaking from early on. If we ever reach a barrier, we can quickly switch to another language for clarification — but you’ll soon see that this won’t be necessary anymore.
