Matthias is a very personable and encouraging instructor. Thanks to his guidance, I progressed from A2 to B2 within one year and successfully passed my TCF! I really appreciate his patience and clear explanations. He is able to tailor his lessons to my needs and share cultural practices and perspectives, making the lessons fun and engaging. Matthias is the most encouraging teacher I have had on italki! He is really good at pushing you out of your comfort zone without making you feel scared or uncomfortable. I was able to speak French from the first couple of classes because I felt safe and supported. My test preparation classes are thought-through and the feedback on my mistakes is very useful because it helps me learn the logic behind the task (not just what's correct)!

Matthias is the French teacher of my dreams! I have been taking lessons with him consistently for the last 8 months, and during this time he has helped me immeasurably. My comprehension of both spoken and written French have improved enormously, and what I am most pleased about is that my ability to speak French with greater fluency is so much better. It is very clear that Matthias takes great pleasure in teaching French, and that he loves sharing his French culture and his life experiences. He customises each of my classes for my level and carefully prepares the materials he will use, for example spoken and written exercises, presentation slides, photos, videos, and all homework assignments. He is exceedingly patient, always enthusiastic and positive, and extremely kind. He is consistently well organised, and he is unfailingly passionate about teaching. Honestly, I cannot recommend him highly enough, he is an amazing French teacher! Huge thank you Matthias!

I've really enjoyed my lessons with Matthias! He's patient, organized, friendly, and easy to talk to. He provides feedback in a non-intrusive way while you talk, and he knows how to keep a conversation going. I prepped for several months for the expression orale and écrite sections of the TEF with him, and it went really well: C1! I'm looking forward to continuing to work on my French with him.

Je viens de terminer ma treizième leçon avec Matthias et je vous lui recommends si vous cherchez des leçons rigoureuse avec beaucoup de conversation. J'aime le programme d'enseignement qu'il utilise qui a été créé pour les classes en ligne; c'est très interactif car Matthias fait que l'étudiant lise tous le matériel, tout en qu'il nous corrige et répond les questions. Je cherchais apprendre plus de grammaire, et le programme m'a permis faire ça. En plus, j'ai trouvé que le programme était particulièrement fort quant à l'apprentissage de nouveau vocabulaire. Également, toute la conversation n'a pas seulement était amusante mais m'a apprit plein des nuances grammaticales et vocabulaire. Merci beaucoup Matthias!
