Hello there, My name is David. I was born in the USA, specifically in New Orleans, Louisiana. I love learning languages and using English as a tool to explore the world. My hobbies are centered around language as well. I love music with complicated lyrics and books that reach up to a thousand pages. I love playing the guitar and can sing. Travel is another great passion of mine and you are likely to find me immersed in the hustle and bustle of city streets and even sometimes in nature (when required). I love nature but to be honest, I love life in a big city. I also enjoy writing short stories and hope to share my love of the English language with you. Cheers!Me as a Teacher
I am a native English teacher from the USA. I have a bachelor’s degree in English literature from the University of Loyola at New Orleans. I recently completed a Master's degree in teaching English. My classes focus on communication and finally putting all of that English you learned years ago to use. I strive to create individualized classes for each of my students that will meet their English needs and focus on answering all of those English questions you have always had. Depending on your interests our classes will focus on a variety of topics (General English, Conversational and Social English, Travel, Art, Literature, History, Sociology and any other subject you are interested in.)My lessons & teaching style
Hello, I have 9 years of experience teaching English not only in schools but in private lessons as well. I specialize in conversation classes but I am not afraid of (and quite good at) teaching grammar and vocabulary. I have helped many students to study for exams of all levels from A1 to Advanced and even C2 (with results). I have worked in both primary and secondary school settings as well as in private lessons. For adults I offer classes focused on many subjects such as, conversation lessons, exam preparation, writing, editing, etc. My main goal is for my students to finally take off with their English and to make their classes meaningful and complimentary to the work they do.My teaching material

2004 - 2008
Bachelor’s - EnglishMy degree of a Bachelor of Arts in English focused on many topics such as literature, writing, English language culture and history and the development of the language. This was a four year degree. My speciality was writing and my favorite courses included Screenwriting, Southern Literature, Creative Writing, Experimental literature and of course, Shakespeare Tragedies. Though my major was English I had the opportunity to study Spanish and Italian as well as a great variety of other subjects.
2019 - 2020
Master's - Teaching English in Secondary EducationThis was a Master's degree in Teaching for secondary school education. My Master's thesis focused on the application of music in high school English classes and the use of technology and innovation in English as a second language classrooms. My courses focused on many topics such as the psychology and thought processes of students, classroom and lesson planning, Sociology, Ethics, the History of Education and classroom discipline.

English teacher in private lessonsIn my many years of experience working one on one with a wide variety of students of many ages and from many different fields, I have gained an invaluable knowledge of my field and of techniques and strategies to improve my student's language level. This type of individual classes allow students to study exactly what they are interested in and gives the teacher the opportunity to share their knowledge about the language. I have had many students for a number of years and am happy to help them.
2009 - 2011
English language assistant TeacherI worked for two academic years as an English Teaching Assistant in a secondary school in Alcalá de Henares, Spain. This was a teaching grant from the regional government of Madrid and I had many responsibilities including conversation lessons with students and directed class activities. I was in charge of organizing and creating lessons for small study groups where we would practice together in a relaxed environment. I would assist the classroom teacher in daily lessons and responsibilities.
2020 - 2020
English language assistant TeacherThanks to a teaching grant I had the opportunity to work as an English Teaching Assistant in a High School of Iznalloz, Granada. In this secondary educational setting I carried out conversation lessons daily with students and directed class activities to assist my mentor teacher and other colleagues in daily lessons and responsibilities. I organized class activities such as presentations and taught and planned English classes for the other teachers at my school.

Thank you David for this controversial movie we have watched ("White dog"). It has helped me to understand better racial problems in the USA. I will follow all your advice to improve my pronunciation problems, that part of the class was also very helpful and interesting 👌😊
