I regret to say that I have not had a good experience with Anna. I should preface this by saying she is a very new teacher to italki, so I understand there may be some kind of learning curve. But I want to express my experience honestly. No-showed our first lesson, stating that she overslept, so we had to reschedule. Then we scheduled another lesson. I had already expressed my preference to use Zoom/Google Meet. But it took 8 minutes for her to get me a Google Meet link. We started the class late, and she didn't have her camera on. She said she felt sick and wasn't presentable enough to be on camera. Italki is a video lesson platform, and so if she's doing voice only lessons, she needs to let the students know ahead of time and give them the option to reschedule or ask for a refund if they wanted a full video lesson. Finally, she had no direction when she began the lesson. Lots of silence. I asked what to do. She asked what to do. She asked what time it was. And I just logged off.
