TEFL-certified teacher who loves the performing arts and has over 2 years of working with children! After graduating college, I decided I wanted to gain life experience and travel while teaching English online. I love traveling because of the new perspectives it brings me and trying all the great food around the world! I am currently living in Mexico teaching English at a Primary School, and my goal is to become fluent in Spanish while I'm here. I specialize in working with children because I am passionate about youth development and education. As an English teacher, I plan and teach curriculum to children aged 9-11, using modern pedagogical techniques. Although I enjoy leading large groups, I love working with students 1-on-1 because it allows a more personal connection and I can better support individual needs. In my student-centered lessons on italki, the student and I formulate learning plans together based on their specific goals and interests. I also try to make sure that my student talks more than me, so that they are getting as much speaking practice as possible during lessons. Most of my italki students prefer either conversational classes, where we talk about miscellaneous topics, or Business English, where I support my students in interview preparation and developing professional language. If you work with me, nobody will notice you aren't a native speaker! xD
