Hi! I’m Teacher Toast, a Shanghainese teacher from Shanghai, China.
In my class, I switch naturally between English, Mandarin, and Shanghainese, so you can understand, practice, and use what you learn — seamlessly.
You won’t just memorize words — you’ll feel the rhythm, humor, and lifestyle behind this unique dialect.
Learning Shanghainese is not the same as learning Mandarin.
Mandarin helps you travel across China, but Shanghainese helps you belong in Shanghai.
