Hi everybody and welcome to my profile! I am a passionate traveler and even more passionate language learner and teacher. I am originally from Belarus, but I chose Germany to be my new home 15 years ago, because I love the country, its people and of course the language! I walked the path of learning German from zero to the near native level myself and now and I´d be glad to share my learning experience with you.
I love reading and art, I enjoy theater and horror movies and I like making old and useless things look cool (upcycling) or new and boring things look lively (downcycling). And I really love to learn new, inspiring and challenging things.Me as a Teacher
I have a degree in teaching German as a foreign language and I have been teaching it both in person and online for over 8 years. During this time I supported language learners from all over the world in achieving their learning goals. The age of my students ranges from 8 to 80 years (yes, my oldest student turned 81 this year!). I have teaching experience on all levels (A1-C1) as well as exam preparation (Goethe Institute, TestDaF, telc), but my passion is teaching absolute beginners. To watch students build their first sentences and then grow more and more confident each time is a very exciting and rewarding experience!My lessons & teaching style
My specialty is teaching beginner`s courses (A0-A1) where we will try to speak from Day 1.
Even if you don´t speak a word of German yet, I´d like to show you that you actually know more German than you think:)
I also offer customized lessons on all levels adapted to your goals, your level, your learning style and your interests. During the class we will cover all language aspects (grammar, vocabulary, pronunciation) but with a clear focus on actual communication.
It is important to me to create a warm and welcoming atmosphere where you feel comfortable to speak. I think of mistakes as an important part of the learning process, and I see you as a communication partner.Certificates

After 10 lessons with Alesia, I have to say I'm absolutely happy that I found the perfect German teacher. She is extremely organized and professional; our lessons are very well-prepared, structured, and fun at the same time, I'm learning a lot in an easy and way and feeling that thanks to the systematic approach the new knowledge stays in my head and not vanishes next day after the class. Also, thanks to the friendly atmosphere in our lessons I feel comfortable speaking German and not afraid to make a mistake anymore. Overall, I've never thought German could be so interesting and fun, but after starting to learn it with Alesia I'm super motivated about this language (and German culture too). Danke schön!

It is my first lesson with Alesia and it was just marvellous! We had a short talk and get to know each other well, but later she was very very supportive and interactive in getting into a theme and start discussing about it. What I like the most is her passion in teaching that she gave me incredibly useful feedback after the lesson, with points on grammar and also some vocabulary. It is extremely helpful and thank you so so much Alesia! I am looking forward to our next lesson.

Alesia is extremely professional and patient. I have tried to learn German with different teachers before, but Alesia is the best so far :) especially with students that, as it is my case, have to learn German from zero. I highly recommend her!
