American English Pronunciation Specialist for Spanish Speakers | CELTA, P-ESL & TEFL | 12+ Years Hi, I’m Dave, a native English teacher from Massachusetts based in Madrid. I’m CELTA and TEFL certified, trained in Compton P-ESL (Pronouncing English as a Second Language), and have spent around 12 years teaching English to Spanish speakers. I specialize in American English pronunciation for Spanish speakers. Because I speak Spanish at a C2 level, I understand exactly where Spanish and English differ and can help you improve difficult sounds, stress, rhythm, intonation, connected speech, and listening comprehension. I also offer structured classes for intermediate and advanced students who want to become more fluent, precise, and confident. Before class, you’ll be given the choice of an article, video, or podcast from my lessons, learn useful vocabulary, and complete a short writing task. In class, we’ll discuss the topic, work on vocabulary and pronunciation, review your writing, and correct mistakes from your speaking. These aren’t simply casual conversation classes: you’ll work with real-world English and receive targeted feedback designed to help you express yourself with more accuracy, range, and confidence. Outside of teaching, I’m an avid reader and language enthusiast who loves hiking, playing guitar, learning languages, and reading. **Adult students only — I’m not currently offering classes to children.**
