A lovely part about language learning is when you can begin to understand so much more and say what you want to say however broken it maybe. To do this with Filippo is really satisfying, he makes me feel like I am making some real progress! Absolutely recommend him as a language tutor.

Filippo is hands-down the best language instructor I've ever had, across any language. I've now had several classes with him and every one is engaging and perfectly tailored to me. He chooses very interesting topics and dialogues that sound like real conversation, rather than sticking to dry textbook exercises. Nothing feels rote or boring. Instead, I end up speaking naturally and learning a lot a long the way. I'm progressing faster than I thought possible, and I'm always looking forward to the next lesson! If you're serious about learing Italian quickly and in a fun and real way, book with Filippo. I can't recommend him enough!

I’ve been working with Filippo for about a month. I’ve had a number of italki tutors over the years. Some good, some not so good. Filippo’s teaching method has just enough of a structured approach that it helps build on previous lessons and homework, but it’s not so heavy handed as to feel like a textbook. He provides homework that directly addresses the previous lesson’s topics with a specificity to help correct deficiencies and introduce new concepts. His personable quality has helped encourage me to speak without stress or embarrassment. I believe this may be a key to a reasonable level of future spoken success.

Lessons are consistently engaging, and I always learn something new. Filippo readily adjusts his lessons to the student’s needs. He explains grammar, pronunciation, and syntax thoroughly, clearly lays out rules and exceptions, discusses synonyms, and offers guidance on more natural or idiomatic ways of expressing oneself in Italian. Le lezioni sono sempre coinvolgenti, imparo costantemente qualcosa di nuovo. :) Filippo adatta con grande facilità le sue lezioni alle esigenze dello studente. Spiega in modo approfondito la grammatica, la pronuncia e la sintassi, espone chiaramente regole ed eccezioni, evidenzia i sinonimi e offre consigli su come esprimersi in italiano in modo più naturale e idiomatico. Consigliatissimo! :)

I've had six lessons with Filippo so far and he is been fantastic! He is very encouraging and creates a comfortable environment to learn and practice. I already find myself using more Italian words in my daily life and understanding much more then when I started. His classes are fun and engaging and I really appreciate how he incorporates topics that interest me in my lessons. I highly recommend him to anyone looking to learn Italian! He is a great teacher!!! :)
