My name is Maryam. I am Persian and Iranian, and I am currently a university student in the UAE. I have always been passionate about languages, poetry, and writing. Growing up, I loved reading storybooks, historical tales, general knowledge books, and novels in both Persian and English. I have always enjoyed teaching my peers and siblings, and I love making the Persian language easy and enjoyable to learn.Me as a Teacher
I have experience tutoring classmates, including a student with special needs, as well as helping other peers understand different subjects. I enjoy seeing students gain confidence when they understand a topic and are able to use it independently. I teach based on each learner’s needs and level of understanding. I also volunteered to teach a younger student, helping him communicate more easily with his friends and build confidence. I do not follow one fixed approach; instead, I adapt my teaching style to each student to ensure an effective and successful learning process. My lessons & teaching style
I enjoy interactive lessons where students actively use new words or grammar in appropriate contexts through speaking or writing. I believe that small games can be both educational and fun, helping students reinforce what they have learned. Every student has a different reason for learning a language, whether for conversation, travel, or studies, and I tailor my lessons accordingly. My goal is to meet each student’s needs without overwhelming them with unnecessary information. However, all lessons will include the basics of grammar, reading, writing, and speaking to ensure well-rounded progress.My teaching material

peer tutorI have been teaching since grade 6, starting with helping a classmate who had vision difficulties. Over the years, my teachers frequently assigned me to assist other students in various subjects. In grade 11, I also volunteered to teach younger students, gaining experience in adapting lessons to different learning needs and levels.

Other - Ib diplomaMy studies focus on the Persian language, including reading, writing, and textual analysis. During this time, I prepared essays and academic studies written in both English and Persian. I also read and analyzed the recommended IB Persian books, focusing on language structure, vocabulary development, and literary themes. This experience has strengthened my ability to explain Persian clearly and adapt my teaching to different learner levels.
