I’m Magnus, a 42-year-old native Swede who has lived in more than 10 places across the country. I’m married to an American and have family ties to Finland and Asia, which has given me broad cultural perspective.
I run a UI/UX design company, work at IKEA, and have traveled widely in Europe and the USA, and lived in Italy.
I have art training from Swedish, American, and Russian schools and enjoy thoughtful conversations about culture, creativity, society, and everyday life.Me as a Teacher
My education and professional background have given me experience communicating with people across many cultures — European, Nordic, Russian, American, Arabic, Persian, and more — which enables me to adapt to different perspectives and communication styles.
Many of my students either live in Sweden, plan to move here, or have Swedish friends or family, and want to feel more at ease participating in conversations.
I specialize in conversation-focused Swedish for internationally minded adults who want to use the language with greater confidence in real situations.

Lessons are conversation-focused — a practical way to move from understanding Swedish to actually speaking it with ease. I provide gentle feedback on pronunciation, phrasing, and natural expression while adapting to your level.
We explore topics that matter to you: everyday life, culture, integration experiences, Swedish heritage connections, creativity, films, or reflective discussions.
