I learned そくおん today! It was kind of an “Eureka” moment because I finally understood how some of the common words I always hear are formed. Mie sensei gave me lots of opportunities to do different types of practice: homework review, grammar, characters, and pronunciation, all within the one-hour class but in a good pace, and I had a lot of fun today!

Once again, I had a great class with Mie Sensei today! She was always very well-prepared and patient, and even though I am still at the beginner level, she incorporated several grammar points and guided me through practising them again in different ways throughout the class. (^▽^)

Today We worked on vocabulary built from different character combinations, and it was genuinely fun. Mie-sensei used effective strategies to help me distinguish similar characters that I often mix up. We also reviewed some grammar points that I need to keep working on. As always, Sensei was very patient. 頑張ります。

Today we practiced a lot of characters writing, and I learned how to do long vowel in pronunciation in Japanese. Mie-sensei is very patient, and I liked how she integrated dialogue and conversation into grammar practice as well. I learned new vocabularies and I need to work on the special cases and memorize the exceptions. Thank you!

Last week I tried Mie-sensei’s method to study hiragana, and it worked wonders for me. In today's lesson we practiced reading further by combining words using flashcards, while also learning more about location particles, から+まで (time markers), modes of transportation, and different question forms, with opportunities to integrate many new vocabulary words. Overall, this approach made the learning process feel structured and confidence-building for me!
