Hi, I’m Alex, an English tutor based in Canada. I work with adults and teenagers who want to improve their conversational English for real-life situations like travel, daily communication, and building confidence when speaking. I learned English as a second language myself, so I understand the challenges learners face — especially feeling nervous or stuck during conversations. My goal is to create a calm and supportive space where you can speak comfortably, without pressure, and improve step by step.

As a teacher, I focus on creating a relaxed and low-pressure environment where you feel comfortable speaking. I’m patient, attentive, and I adapt each lesson to your level and goals. I don’t rush or overwhelm you — instead, we build your confidence step by step. I guide you through conversations using simple questions and support you with gentle corrections, helping you speak more naturally and clearly.

My lessons & teaching style

My lessons are based on relaxed, real-life conversation practice. We focus on practical topics such as everyday communication, travel, and expressing your thoughts naturally in English. Each lesson starts with a simple conversation to help you feel comfortable, then we build your speaking skills through guided discussion. I provide gentle corrections, help you expand your vocabulary, and improve pronunciation — without interrupting your flow too much. There is no strict curriculum. Lessons are flexible and adapted to your goals, helping you speak more confidently in real situations.
