Real-life Italian — conversation, work, travel, study Some of my students are complete beginners. Others understand a lot but can't get the words out. Both are a great place to start. Ciao, I'm Giulia, from Padova, near Venice. Most tutors can teach you Italian. I can teach you the Italian that gets things done: the Italian you use at work, at the bar, at the station, at dinner with your Italian family. I've written the business emails and sat in the meetings at Vertiv, a US multinational. I've checked in travellers at Venice airport. I've coordinated production for two Italian luxury brands, working with suppliers abroad. I have a Master's in International Economics from the University of Padova and studied management at the University of Michigan — so I've spent years working in a language that isn't my own. I know exactly where people get stuck, and how to get unstuck. In my lessons we talk a lot, but always at your level: if you're starting from zero we begin with a few words, if you already have some basics I'll push you further. I correct you as we go, without interrupting every two words. After every lesson you get a PDF with everything we covered — new vocabulary, corrections, explanations — so nothing gets lost. Outside of lessons I do yoga and meditation, I crochet, I travel whenever I can, and I like keeping up with fashion.
