Patient Russian tutor: from zero to confident conversation Привет! I’m a professional Russian teacher, born and raised in Russia, but for over four years I’ve been living in sunny Portugal and learning the local language myself. So trust me, I know exactly what it’s like to wrestle with new words and grammar rules from scratch! I’ve been teaching Russian for over 5 years and have helped around 50 students survive the wild world of Russian grammar and conversation. I hold a degree in education with a diploma as a Teacher of Russian History - so you’re in safe, professional hands! My teaching style is a balanced mix: half grammar (yes, those cases!) and half conversation (because what’s the point if you can’t use it?). If you’re starting from scratch, I recommend focusing on grammar for the first few months - especially if your native language doesn’t have those lovely Russian cases. I’ve lived and worked all over Russia: from Moscow and Kaliningrad to Sochi, Kamchatka, Siberia, and Vladivostok. Plus, I’ve visited more than 30 countries, so I’m always happy to share stories and insights about life in different Russian regions and former Soviet republics.
