I’m a native German speaker with over 30 years of experience living in Berlin, originally from the Lower Rhine region. I also speak English, Spanish, and Dutch, and understand the challenges of language learning firsthand. As a self-employed tour guide, I use languages daily in real-life situations, creating practical and engaging lessons focused on communication. I’m interested in European history, politics, sustainability, birdwatching, cycling, and football. I hold a Master’s degree in Spanish and Dutch Philology from Freie Universität Berlin. I’d be happy to support you on your German learning journey!

Me as a Teacher

I’m a German tutor with over two years of experience coaching children and teenagers face to face, now specializing in online lessons also for adults. I completed a Goethe-Institut course during COVID and earned the “Deutsch Lehren Lernen” certificate, allowing me to use modern, practical teaching methods. As a speaker of several languages, I understand the challenges learners face. My lessons are tailored to your goals and focus on building confidence in a relaxed, supportive environment. My lessons will give you plenty of space to practice real conversations and build confidence. Prefer diving into texts and sharpening your analysis skills? I’ve got you covered. I’ll send you interesting materials before class, and we’ll explore them together step by step. The same goes for listening and reading: no one-size-fits-all approach here. And one important detail: my teaching style includes a good sense of humor. So be prepared to learn, make progress, and maybe even laugh a little along the way.
