Hello everyone! My name is Dan, and I’m a Yiddish and Hebrew tutor, My first language is Hebrew, and I’ve been studying Yiddish since I started volunteering at a Yiddish library and cultural center in 2020 🏛️
I’m a language lover, a curious person, and someone who genuinely enjoys connecting with people I love poetry, music, theater, and getting lost in a good film, and I’m always happy to share that curiosity in conversation.
I believe learning works best when it feels relaxed, engaging, and human If you’re looking for a friendly space to learn and talk, you’ll feel right at home with me 🏡✨
Me as a Teacher
As a teacher, I’m patient, attentive, and easy to talk to, I believe learning should happen at your pace, not mine, and I’m always ready to adapt my approach to what works best for you.
I create a relaxed, supportive space where you can feel comfortable making mistakes, asking questions, and expressing yourself My goal is for you to feel confident, motivated, and genuinely enjoy the process of learning 🌱
My lessons & teaching style
My lessons are flexible and built around you They can be structured or free-flowing, depending on your goals I bring materials like poems, songs, texts, videos, and exercises, but we can also focus on conversation.
We can work on reading, speaking, listening, or writing, separately or together.
Conversation can be free or guided, with gentle real-time corrections (or adjusted to your preference) 🌱
I adapt during lessons, shifting focus or materials as needed.
In our first lesson, I assess your level and goals, and then meet you where you are, from basics to grammar to confident speaking.
