Hi, I’m Drew! A TESOL-certified American English teacher from Ohio, now in Hong Kong. I specialize in accent training and fluency—helping students sound natural and confident. Having learned Mandarin myself, I know the challenges of language learning firsthand! When I’m not teaching, you’ll find me snapping photos, exploring new places, or gaming (great for casual English practice!). Let’s make learning fun and effective!

I'm incredibly passionate about teaching you, as I know exactly what it is like to lack the ability to communicate in your desired way. I have gone through the language learning process myself with Mandarin, and can confidently teach you all the tools and tricks to progress in English, regardless of your level.

My lessons & teaching style

My lessons differ between a formal and informal style. With my formal classes, you can expect me to have materials prepared, and we will work upon building up your skills and knowledge from your current English level, meaning I can teach you regardless of where you are at with your learning journey. You can expect me to show up on time, every time, and be ready to get right into our current area of study. With informal classes, you can choose the topic, and we will spend the class discussing said topic, and helping to diversify your ability to communicate in a broader sense. This informal class is best suited for students who are past the beginning stage, but can be tailored to any level.
