Hello! My name is Yume and I am a Japanese language teacher. I am from Japan and have been living in the United States since 2022. I enjoy traveling, watching movies and TV series, and baseball. My top 3 anime are Slam Dunk, One Piece, and Ranma 1/2. I am also learning Spanish so that I can communicate more with my family. Since I am learning a foreign language myself, I understand how it feels to study a new language as a student. What do you like to do? I hope we can talk more about it during our lessons :)

Me as a Teacher

I am from Japan and a native speaker of Japanese. I have a Master’s degree in Japanese Language Education and 3 years of experience teaching at the university level in the United States. I have also worked as a private tutor, teaching students from children to senior adults. I love teaching and enjoy interacting with students from all over the world. Students often describe me as patient, engaging, and friendly :) As a Japanese teacher, my goal is to help students connect with people from around the world, broaden their perspectives, and gain confidence. I hope to make a positive impact on your learning journey, and I look forward to seeing you in class!
