English Tutor with a Psychology Background: Building Confident Learners of All Ages Hello! I’m Laura, an English tutor with a degree in Psychology and experience in teaching and student mentoring. I believe learning English is not just about memorizing vocabulary and grammar. It is also about building the confidence to communicate, make mistakes, ask questions, and keep trying. My psychology background helps me understand that every student learns differently. Some students need more encouragement, some need more practice, and others simply need a safe and comfortable space to speak. I take the time to understand each student’s needs and adapt my lessons to their learning style, level, and goals. 🌟 I LOVE TEACHING CHILDREN! Working with children is one of the things I enjoy most about teaching. I want my young students to feel comfortable, supported, and excited to come to class. For kids, I use fun and interactive activities such as: 🎮 Games and learning activities 🎵 Songs and rhymes 📖 Stories and storytelling 🗣️ Conversation practice 📝 Worksheets and visual materials 🔤 Phonics, reading, vocabulary, and sentence building I don't want children to feel that English is just another school subject. I want them to discover that English can be fun, useful, and something they can feel proud of learning. I also pay attention to how children respond during lessons. If a student is shy, frustrated, distracted, or unsure, I adjust my approach and give them the encouragement they need.
