I grew up speaking English alongside Chinese languages, Malay, Tamil and Singlish, and later taught Media and Communication at university level in Australia. Today, I have over 18 years of teaching experience helping people become more confident communicators. I teach teenagers and adults (16+). Beginners and young children are not a good fit. Many students come to me asking for English lessons. Sometimes that's exactly what they need. But often, English is only part of the picture. One student came to me convinced she needed Business English. As we worked together, we realised the real challenge wasn't grammar or vocabulary. It was organising her thoughts, communicating confidently under pressure, and navigating a difficult workplace relationship. English was simply one piece of a much bigger communication puzzle. Whether your goal is conversation, academic preparation, presentations, interviews, or expressing yourself more naturally, we'll work not only on your English, but also on clarity of thought, interpersonal communication, confidence, and emotional intelligence (EQ). Lessons are personalised and conversation-driven. We might use current affairs, YouTube, films, podcasts, social media—or even AI—to spark discussion.
