Let's learn a relaxed and enjoyable way, Studied linguistics in the UK and Slovenia Hello. My name is Mai. I have been interested in languages since I was a child and have been studying foreign languages for many years. As language learning isn’t always plain sailing, I believe I can empathise with how learners feel. In Japan, I taught introductory, beginner and intermediate Japanese courses as part of a training programme. As these were short courses, I worked intensively with the students. In Malaysia, I worked as an assistant to a local teacher at a secondary school. I provided one-to-one tuition to transfer students who had no prior experience of learning Japanese. Currently, I teach mainly online. In my lessons, I cater to learners seeking both short-term and long-term study programmes. Making the most of the benefits of one-to-one tuition, I focus primarily on conversation whilst also covering grammar, reading and writing. I also offer lessons tailored to specific purposes, such as JLPT, Japanese for customer service, academic Japanese and job interviews in Japanese.
