My name is Emoni and I come from sunny Puerto Rico. ¡Mucho gusto!
I've been teaching Spanish, English, and Italian for more than ten years. I'm also a professional visual artist as well as a language enthusiast. Welcome to my Teacher Profile!Me as a Teacher
I've been an ESL teacher since 2010. I possess a TEFL certification as well as a BA in Italian language, literature, and culture. I've also worked for three Italian schools, being in charge of organizing and preparing lesson plans for groups and individual students in both private and company settings. I have experience with book-based lessons, personalized courses, business-centered learning, online teaching, telephonic and e-mail lessons. I have ample experience teaching beginners to advanced students (A1-C2, as guidelined by CEFR).

Lessons are personalized to the student. When booking for the first time, I will ask you in a message to include as much information as possible to tailor classes to your specific goals. The teaching methodology I use is student-centered teaching, so as to allow you to use the language, giving you the opportunity to put your knowledge to the test. Depending on your needs, we will exercise speaking, reading, listening, and writing with articles, vocabulary lists, videos, topics of conversation, role-play situations, and/or homework.

Emoni, is an absolutely amazing teacher! Being that I am of Puerto Rican decent, Emoni has been teaching me the Puerto Rican dialect of Spanish and incorporating pieces of Puerto Rican history. It's amazing how she's been able to customize each lesson for me. She's an absolute pleasure to work with, and I look forward to many many more lessons with her!

Emoni is the best! I’ve taken a few lessons with her and she is so professional, prepared, and encouraging. She explains complicated concepts very clearly and provides creative ways to remember things. I’m a very visual person, and find that her materials really help. She’ll also tailor the classes to what you need. She seems genuinely invested in helping you learn and celebrates wins big and small with you!

Another excellent lesson with Emoni. As she lives in Italy it was also helpful to get her insight on Italian culture. We covered a huge amount in just two lessons of 30 minutes each. Highly recommended!

Best lesson I've had. Emoni really personalized the lesson for me. I am generally a shy speaker when it comes to speaking another language, especially in Spanish, but I felt incredibly comfortable with Emoni.
She also gave me the tools to use Spanish during the lesson. 10/10 pheomenal teacher.
