🎓 Assistant Professor, ASA | 🗣️ Pashto & Dari | Eastern, Kandahari, Khosti & Waziri Varieties Hello! I’m Abdul Qahar, an Assistant Professor at the Afghanistan Sciences Academy (formerly Pashto Tolana) and an experienced Pashto and Dari tutor with 5+ years of teaching experience and 15+ published academic papers. I hold an MA in Law and Political Science from Nangarhar University and was educated entirely in Pashto. I specialize in Pashto dialectology and teach the Afghan standard (Pashto Tolana) orthography. A native of Kama, Nangarhar (Eastern Pashto), I have also lived in Peshawar, Khost, Kandahar, Kunduz, and Kabul, giving me firsthand experience with Eastern, Kandahari, Khosti, and Waziri varieties. I teach learners of all levels, including adults who need Pashto for academic research, NGO, legal, humanitarian, refugee-related, travel, or everyday purposes. I speak Pashto, Dari/Persian, Urdu, and English. I adapt my teaching to each learner. We can focus on real conversation and everyday communication, or follow a structured approach using grammar, vocabulary, reading, translation, and exercises. Most learners benefit from a combination of both, which we adjust as they progress.
