Here's why I stand out from 99.99% of other tutors: I am the only hearing person in an entirely deaf family- yes, entirely deaf. All my siblings, parents- Deaf. I have the best of both world's. Why? Because I understand both Deaf and Hearing Individuals. I know what is needed for a Hearing individual to become a Confident and Fluent signer FAST. I also know how to help Deaf and Hard-of-Hearing Individuals who are learning American Sign Language for the First time to feel proud and be a part of their Deaf Culture and to Learn American Sign Language. (this includes newly deaf individuals or those who have been deaf since birth, Deaf Individuals with or without cochlear or Hearing Aids, and Deaf Individuals with or without a previous educational background.) Also, my Experience as a Teacher's Assistant for Children with Special Needs such as Autism has given me the experience to teach autistic individuals. Why I am the Perfect Fit for you: I have worked with many, many Hearing and Deaf individuals of all ages. I have experience in both teaching (as an after-school American Sign Language Teacher, and a Teacher's assistant) I also have experience in Interpreting between American sign language and English.
