About Me

I have 2 years of English teaching experience, and over 5 years of general teaching experience. As a teacher I try to create a calm, warm and welcoming environment that enables students to feel safe and free from judgement. I am well aware of how difficult it can be to learn a new language and practice speaking skills. As an English teacher I hope to guide my students to build confidence and succeed in their language learning goals.My lessons & teaching style
My teaching style is quite flexible. I am happy to work with you to decide what works best for your learning style. If you just want to practice having natural conversations, no problem! Are you looking for some structure and want to read an article to discuss before class or watch a video with some follow-up discussion questions? Sounds good! My main goal is that you are actively engaged using your speaking and listening skills throughout each lesson, and ideally having a good time in the process.My teaching material

English TeacherAfter graduating from my bachelor program, I worked in a café for a few months before moving to Japan to Teach English for a year and a third. The WinBe branch of private English schools that I worked at is located in a small mountain town in the Kansai region, roughly a forty minutes train ride from Osaka. I taught students between the age range of 6 to 67 years, and crafted and adapted lesson plans to suite each student.
2016 - 2018
Educational Assistant•Co-facilitated virtual classroom learning and discussions, monitored the chat for questions and comments, created and lead breakout rooms to help students understand the material and assignments.
•Worked closely with case managers to ensure each student on their caseload I worked with was receiving proper assistance according to their Individualized Education Plan (IEP).
