Me as a Teacher

I completed a four-year Japanese teacher training program at university, including two teaching practicums, and have hands-on volunteer teaching experience. But what truly sets me apart is my deep, personal connection to Japanese culture. I grew up in a traditional household with my grandparents, who were born in the Meiji era, though I didn't fully appreciate it until I moved abroad.

My lessons & teaching style

My lessons are built around conversation, because I truly believe that real communication is what keeps motivation alive. Textbooks are great as a supplement. I personally recommend GENKI 3rd Edition, but speaking and connecting is always at the heart of what we do. Having struggled through a foreign language myself, I understand the frustration, and I'm here to support you every step of the way.
