A Literacy Passionate Teacher Hello, I'm Seren! I'm here on italki because I hope to encourage you to show up to language learning effectively, without burnout and fear holding you back. I hope to provide a gentle and engaging learning experience for you. My goal is to teach through interdependence; teaching students to be leaders, good listeners, and teammates, and encourage literacy. Lessons are casual and focus on conversational language learning and avoiding habitual mistakes, or focused on reading materials, like articles or short stories, fiction and non-fiction. For children, toddlers, and beginners, we focus on play based learning, phonics, repetitiveness, and recognition. We will use lots of flashcards! Advanced students will focus on conversational practice but can still look forward to interactive methods. My passion is literacy so my approach focuses on developing reading ability (through all types media, not only texts!).
